And your ears shall hear a word behind you saying “This is the way, walk in it”, (Isaiah 30:21) God is always speaking…but how do we hear? We must attune our ears to God’s voice, like when we are having an intimate conversation with an old friend in a crowded room. There may be many other voices around but we don’t hear them because we are so focused on what our friend is saying. God always communicates with the heart that is yearning to hear from Him.
Does it profit us to wake from good sleep, and press our way to church (including church on Zoom) if when we get there and when the Word is going forth we put up our umbrella so as not to get disturbed by the raindrops of the Word that are falling or we begin to hop around like a grasshopper…taking a little word here and a little Word there.
God is always speaking and Now is a good time for us to hear… “so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11) …..we can’t do it, if we don’t hear it!…….. How is your “hear”?
