Many people refer to prayer as an alternative plan and in some cases the last alternative when things did not work out as they had planned. This is not only a mistake it is unbiblical. The Bible has much to say about prayer.

Luke 18:1 And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying at all times with all prayer and supplication….

1Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing

Prayer is indispensable in carrying out Gods will for our lives.  Everything rises and falls with prayer. Simply said, we succeed as a result of prayer, and we fail as a result of not praying, therefore we pray when we feel like it and we don’t pray when we don’t feel like it.

We are communing with our all-powerful God when we pray. We can experience the fullness of His presence through prayer. The more time we spend with Him, the more we will sense how much He loves us and the more we know Him and trust Him with everything that concerns us. Through prayer we are able to draw close to God and get direction on how to navigate this complex journey called life. The more we seek God in prayer the more we experience His power to love, power to discern and to live out the purpose for which He created us.

Bottom line: More prayer more power, little prayer little power. There is no Plan B for prayer!
